Welcome to Project Enroll Now

Our Mission Statement:

 

To promote the social welfare of the Malverne Community through the support of charitable, educational, scientific, literary and cultural opportunities within the community and more specifically to promote public education in the Malverne community by creating a parental networking organization in support of the Malverne school district.


How We Began :

 

Project Enroll Now was founded by a group of parents interested in exploring the utilization of our public schools.  Malverne residents of District 12 grossly underutilize the public schools.  What we found was an administration full of highly qualified and talented individuals committed to providing their charges with a safe, nurturing environment while allowing them to develop socially, emotionally and civically and successfully meet the rigorous challenges of the New York State standards.


Since August 2004 some of our efforts include:

  Formed and funded a Not for Profit under NYS law.
  Surveyed and answered over 3000 Malverne residents.
  Co sponsored concerts for Malverne children with the Malverne Youth Board.
  Worked with a local realtor to provide accurate information to residents and potential homeowers.
  Promoted Open House attendance for incoming kindergarteners.
  Formed playgroups for eligible kindergarteners in 2005, 2006 and 2007 & 2008.
  Working as a conduit of information between the administration and the residents.
  Organized meetings for interested residents to ask questions and meet with District 12 administration.
  Successfully increased elementary enrollment through communication and networking.
  Coordinated and presented opinions to the Board of Education regarding the need to replace elementary playground equipment and safety surface.
  Coordinated and presented opinions to the Board of Education regarding reducing class size for kindergarten classes at Maurice W. Downing.
  Coordinated and presented opinions to the Board of Education stressing the importance of retaining key building administrators district wide.
